I'm interested in the concept of assurance maturity.
There is a long-established practice of assessing project management maturity (e.g. by using the P3M3 model) as a way of identifying where improvements can be made in a controlled and measured way.
I see no reason why such an approach cannot be used to support the improvement of assurance in organisations, but I'm not aware of any standardised - or indeed non-standardised - methods.
Have you ever used a maturity assessment approach to identify where and how improvements need to be made in your organisation? Alternatively, have you ever seen anyone else using such an approach?
